Selena Gomez's Diet Is All About Indulging but Having Everything in Moderation

When we think of Selena Gomez, we think of a 25-year-old superstar who’s comfortable in her own skin and loves to encourage others to feel the same. She loves to treat herself, but it’s all about having everything in moderation.

Selena starts off her day either eating a piece of raw ginger or taking a shot of it. “It’s killing everything inside! All of the bad things,” she told James Corden when she appeared on Carpool Karaoke. Whenever she’s on tour, she loves to keep “plenty of water and pickles” on hand, she told Bon Appétit in 2016. Hot Cheetos and chocolate “are staples” for her as well, and if that wasn’t enough, Selena indulges in “a good plate of fried chicken” every once in a while. In a 2016 interview with Cosmopolitan, Selena’s trainer Amy Rosoff Davis admitted that she has been slowly but surely switching the singer from fast food to whole food.

“She loves Tex-Mex and fast food that I would normally not condone,” she said. “I will walk onto the tour bus and smell fast food, throw it in the trash, and hand her a carrot and hummus.”

Whenever Selena is the mood for some fast food, she turns to McDonald’s, according to her Instagram account. When Selena was on Carpool Karaoke, she and James stopped by a the famous chain and she ordered a Ranch BLT with medium fries and a Coke. Perhaps the most important thing is that no matter what Selena is eating, she always tries to stay body positive, as demonstrated when she captioned an Instagram bikini picture that went viral, “I love being happy with me y’all #theresmoretolove.”
